Cesiro is the largest producer of household ceramics in Europe. Located in the heart of Romania, in the medieval town of Sighișoara, the company has a long-standing tradition in ceramics production.

The History of Cesiro

The original factory was founded in 1957 under the name “Întreprinderea de Sticlă și Faianță Sighișoara” (Sighișoara Glass and Earthenware Enterprise). After 1990, it was split into three companies: Cesiro (ceramics), Stimet (glass) and Artfil (porcelain). Starting in 1991, Cesiro became an independent company, and in 1995 it was privatised through the MEBO method, being owned by employees and former employees.

Cesiro's production reaches 4.5 million pieces per month, including plates, platters, cups, bowls and numerous accessories. The products are available in more than 100 colours each month, some of them also being artistically decorated.
